Kayla | out and about | 10.23.2011

Things have been a bit calmer after our move in July, so Grace and I have been able to spend a lot more fun time with Kayla.

Kayla and I had a day to ourselves while mom was out. We decided to go check out the local playground.

Grace, Kayla and I were also able to visit a nearby pumpkin patch (Grant's Farm in Port Coquitlam) to pick up a large, medium-sized and small pumpking to carve for halloween. Kayla had fun stomping on the puddles and seeing all the different sized pumpkins.

Here are my total most favourite girls in the world!

Kayla got to ride in a wheelbarrow as well. :)

I guess she was pooped after a while and needed a nap really bad.

Yusuke & Eriko | A Vancouver Island Wedding | 08.07.2011

Grace and I met Yusuke and Eriko a few weeks ago, and had the honor of photographing their wedding day. They were married in Japan previously, but decided to also hold a wedding in Victoria, BC. Yusuke lived in Victoria for a few years and feels like it is his second home... so it was only natural to have a ceremony here.

They both chose St. Ann's Academy for their ceremony. It is a lovely church!

Thanks, Grace, for getting the shots from the balcony!

After the ceremony, Yusuke and Eriko left to do a tour of the area in a horse drawn carriage. I tagged along to get some more shots of the two of them. Not sure, but I think this was my first time in a carriage.

Yusuke and I almost left the rings on this sun dial after taking pictures. Fortunately Eriko remembered before we ran off to the next location for pictures.

The reception was held at Bon Rouge Bistro and Lounge. It was just a short walk from The Empress Hotel where they were staying.

My 2-yr old daughter saw this picture as I was editing and kept saying "princess".

Congratulations, Yusuke & Eriko! Thank you for making us a part of your special day.

La Familia

I rented a couple of lenses for a wedding - Canon 24-70 f/2.8L and 70-200 f/2.8L - and wanted to get some practice using it. Thank goodness for family! Most were more than happy to get their picture taken.

Of course, I had to start with my beautiful wife, Grace. She says I have not been taking a lot of pictures of her lately.

Brayd's Wedding

Everyone has their beginnings.  For Bryan and Jayd, it was on July 16th 2011 that they began their life as a married couple.  It was also on that date that we had our first opportunity to photograph a wedding, from bridal prep to reception.

We've known Bryan and Jayd for three years as a couple.  Bryan played bass and Jayd was leading Sunday School classes at Richmond Christian Fellowship, where they met and their romance fluorished.  It was truly our pleasure to be a part of their wedding as well as photograph it for them.
